MINDFULNESS LIVING AND MEDITATION WORKSHOP

SUNDAY AUGUST 26TH - 2 - 5PM - CASHIERS VALLEY FUSION YOGA STUDIO

Join us for an afternoon of meditative bliss as we explore and learn about four different methods of meditation from three different teachers.
 
Some of the benefits of meditation include improved focus, concentration, memory retention, emotional well being and immunity, increased self awareness, happiness and acceptance, and in addition to slowing down the aging process by reducing stress, meditation encourages a healthy lifestyle.
 
The session will begin with Mindfulness Meditation led by Lindsday Heller.  While seated, Lindsay will help you bring awareness to the breath and allow you the freedom to experience the present moment.
 
Next, Kim Hough will guide you through Qi Gong, a slow moving, gentle style of movement meditation that cultivates and increases your energy, of which Tai Chi got its roots. 
 
From there, Kim will transition the group into Sound Vibration Meditation where you will experience the effects of Yang sound vibration and Yin sound vibration to clear energy blockages in our meridians. Sound has a definite effect on our nervous system as we know from the effects of listening to rock ‘n’ roll as opposed to soft spa music.
 
The afternoon will end with April Harrison guiding you through the practice of Yoga Nidra, a yogic sleep that is a state of consciousness between waking and sleeping, like the "going-to-sleep" stage. This deep relaxation will lead you to a state of meditative consciousness that is peaceful and extremely relaxing.
 
There will be breaks between each session and an opportunity to speak with the teachers.  We recommend wearing comfortable clothing that you can move, sit and relax in.  Blankets and bolsters are available at the studio but you are welcome to bring your own pillow, blanket or meditation cushion.

Greet your day with gratitude, joy and playfulness! Wake your body, mind and spirit with delightfully gentle practice with a variety of postures to energize and inspire you. This sweet flow will tone and strengthen your body and get you out of your head and into your heart! Join me rain or shine as the Pavilion is covered for this balanced session that concludes with a delicious deep relaxation and guided meditation. NO EXPERIENCE REQUIRED -  suitable for those new to yoga or experienced practitioners as options will be given to make it more challenging or not.

Enjoy a beautiful Intracoastal waterway view, feel the delicious breeze caressing your skin, surrounded by nature - a perfect way to start your day!

Bring an extra mat or a beach towel for a little more padding for your knees and its not a bad idea to purchase blocks and a strap which are inexpensive very useful props!
